CurrTech’s Tiered Instruction and Assessments (Overview) supports truly differentiated instruction by helping teachers challenge and assess students who are at different levels of performance. The multi-level set of tasks for each standard range from Level I tasks which are at a minimum level of cognitive demand to Level IV tasks which engage students in complex thinking involving reasoning and problem solving. By being able to match instruction to the students’ performance level, all students can be engaged and improved performance.

Tiered Instruction Examples:
Each grade-level module includes:
- A set of tiered assessment task items (typically 500) sufficient for a year of instruction.
- A Teachers Guide (Grade 3, Gradae 8) that includes exemplary responses and scoring tools.
