Science PLUS™ (Performance Learning and Understanding in Science) provide students with the opportunity to learn age appropriate concepts, skills, processes, and to acquire science attitudes and "habits of mind."
PLUS units represent an innovative approach to the design of curriculum and instructional materials. Using a modifed 5E teaching, learning, and assessing cycle of Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate and Evaluate, PLUS units engage students in stimulating, authentic, and contemporary problem-based science scenarios. All PLUS units are standards-driven and are aligned to both the National Science Education Standards (NRC, 1996) and the Benchmarks for Scientific Literacy (AAAS, 1993).
PLUS Units:
